Once you open your PDF Kindle e-book, you should be present with the font size menu at the bottom of the screen. So let’s assume that you have a DRM removal tool of some kind on your Kindle and you have already removed that from the document on your device. DRM is added for copyright purposes, but it also gets in the way of altering the document in any kind of way. That has all changed now, although you may still need to use another cool little tool if the PDF document you are trying to zoom has digital rights management (DRM) attached.
Updates to the Kindle have now made it possible to turn the device into a great little PDF reader where zooming capabilities are right at your fingertips.īefore this upgrade, Kindle users were forced to either read the PDF document as is or use a PDF converter tool to turn the original document or e-book into the more familiar AZW or MOBI formats that are accepted by Kindle. Perhaps the biggest issue in that regard has been the inability to zoom PDF documents and e-books to avoid eye strain or endless amounts of screen scrolling. It hasn’t all been smooth sailing, though, with some of the complaints having to do with the ability to read PDF documents on the Kindle. The ability to carry several books in one handy little gadget has made even the most avid supporter of paper books switch to digital. You can delete any e-book from the Library by right-clicking it and selecting Delete.The Kindle e-reader has proven to be a very valuable device for those that love to read books on the go. Press the Show items as tiles button to switch back to the cover thumbnails. Alternatively, you can switch to e-book list view by clicking the Show items in list button. Kindle for PC’s Library displays e-books with thumbnail cover images as in the shot directly below. Then e-books will download to the Kindle Windows software when you order them from Amazon. Click the Set as default device option to configure Kindle for PC as your default device. Click the Your Devices tab and then select Kindle for PC listed there. You can configure Kindle for PC to be your default e-book program from your Manage Your Content and Devices Amazon page shown in the snapshot directly below. Then you can open e-books in the Kindle software. Enter the required details into that window to sign in to your Amazon account. A Register Kindle for PC window opens with the software. Then click the installer to add the software to Windows. Click the Download button there to save the Kindle installer. Kindle for PC is freeware software you can add to your desktop by opening this page.
